Lead Vocals

Cody wasn’t just born — he burst into being in a swirl of rhythm, color, and cosmic wonder, cradled in the kaleidoscopic orbit of his father, legendary Bay Area music sorcerer Joe Craven. With a guitar in one hand and a monologue in the other, young Cody grew up where jam sessions danced with Shakespearean soliloquies, and every day felt like a backstage pass to the universe. His childhood? A living mixtape of melody, performances, and magic. Fueled by stardust and stage lights, Cody rocketed to New York City, where he spent 10 shimmering years enchanting audiences as a union actor-musician. He blazed trails in shows across the country, most notably bringing the ghost of Carl Perkins and Elvis to life in Million Dollar Quartet, with fingers that flamed across the fretboard and a voice dipped in Southern soul, as well as performances in Once: The Musical, and Kinky Boots.

Now, Cody has crash-landed joyfully back in the Bay Area, trailing glitter and glam like a comet as the dazzling frontman of Starman SF — a Bowie tribute band that’s equal parts galactic groove and theatrical lightning bolt. Onstage, he channels Bowie’s shapeshifting starlight with a kaleidoscopic charisma that bends time, gender, and gravity itself.

Offstage, Cody is a sonic spell-caster in his own right — a prolific singer/songwriter, a beloved acting teacher, a fiercely devoted Husky dad, and a sci-fi dreamer who composes ballads in binary and drifts to sleep plotting hyperspace harmonies.
